Chef Instructor 

Chef Maureen Marshall-Ned is no stranger to the industry. She has served on state boards as a Culinary Ambassador and advisor to the tourism community. Chef Maureen has traveled to French Guiana where she taught Cajun and Creole food of South Louisiana. She hosted several educational events centered around the food and culture found in this unique state.

 

Recipes of Chef Maureen have been featured in several publications as well as an article in Kreol Magazine from the United Kingdom where her restaurant, Cafe Fricassee was showcased during the time when she was the Executive Chef and Co-Owner. 

 

Chef Maureen won medals and awards for both her savory and sweet delights in numerous competitions. She judged cooking events in Louisiana and other states.

 

After receiving her culinary degree from Delgado College in New Orleans, she went on to open her catering company, Virtual Bistro Catering. It specialized in intimate dinners, culinary team building and specialty cakes and cookies.

 

Chef Maureen Marshall-Ned was the chef for KLFY Channel 10 Passe Partout’s morning show where she gave cooking hints, tips, and family friendly recipes for over 1 ½ years.

 

Over her educational career, she has had the pleasure of teaching ProStart to high school students, Food and Nutrition to middle school students and now holds a position as a Pastry Instructor at LCI. 

 

She is Certified by the National Restaurant Association in ServSafe as an Instructor and Proctor.

She is a former member of the International Cake Exploration Society and a member of the American Culinary Federation.
