Top Chef, Season Five Winner, Chef Hosea Rosenberg, to Hold

Demonstrations for Louisiana Culinary Institute Students

The Louisiana Culinary Institute (LCI) is proud to announce that the winner of Top Chef, Season 5, Chef Hosea Rosenberg, will be holding cooking demonstrations on Monday November 9th, 2009 for LCI students.  This is an excellent opportunity for our students to learn from one of the best American chefs in the country.

Chef Rosenberg began his career as a means to pay for his bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  After completing his studies and travelling, he realized that his true passion was to become a professional chef.  Chef Rosenberg has worked his way through the ranks, from dishwasher, to prep cook, to line cook, and finally to executive chef.  He has previously worked under Wolfgang Puck, Sean Yontz, and Dave Query.

For the past four and a half years, Chef Rosenberg has been the Executive Chef at Jax Fish House in Boulder.  He has won numerous awards, including ‘Best Chef' at the Denver International Wine Festival (2006, 2007), seven-time, undefeated winner of the ‘Flatiron Chef Competition', ‘Guest Chef' at the James Beard House (2007), and Silver Medal, New Orleans Food and Wine ‘Fleur de Lis Culinary Award Winner' (2009).  Chef Rosenberg is also active in many charitable organizations and supports sustainable agriculture and conservation.
