Chef Josh Savilisky started his culinary career in Richmond, Virginia at the age of 16. He worked in various restaurants, gaining both kitchen and front-of-the-house experience. In 2007, he moved to Dublin, Ireland to earn a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts from the Dublin Institute of Technology. During his time in Europe, Chef Savilisky trained in multiple Michelin-starred restaurants and traveled through Europe, learning many different cuisines.


After graduation, Chef Savilisky opened a restaurant that became the celebrity hotspot in the Hamptons, NY.  Then, after 4 years in New York, he moved to Washington DC, where he managed various restaurants for a Belgian food group, a boutique catering company, and a farm-to-table group.


In 2020, Chef Savilisky returned to Richmond and helped a local BBQ company become the #1 BBQ caterer in Virginia. In 2022, he began teaching Culinary Arts at Reynolds Community College in Richmond. His love for new foods brought him to Louisiana in 2025 when he began his journey with LCI.


Chef Savilisky’s philosophy with professional cooking is: “Experience is the most important thing, even the bad ones can teach you something.”
